Before the Remodel
Before the remodel, the kitchen had a more traditional look and lacked the clean lines and custom storage planned for the new design. The renovation gave us the opportunity to completely refresh the space with custom cabinetry and a more refined layout.
Project Overview
This was a full custom kitchen project, with cabinetry designed around the room rather than standard cabinet sizes.
The kitchen includes slim shaker cabinets, a white oak island, tall storage, a custom hood, new countertops and backsplash.
Homeowner's Goals
The goal was a bright, refined kitchen with plenty of storage and a clean, tailored look.
White cabinetry keeps the space light, while white oak and brass details add warmth without making the design feel busy.
Kitchen Design
The cabinetry extends across the kitchen with tall storage and large drawer banks incorporated into the layout.
The slim shaker profile was chosen for a cleaner, more delicate look than a traditional shaker door.
Full Custom Slim Shaker Cabinetry
The cabinetry was custom made for this kitchen, allowing the storage and proportions to work with the actual space.
Tall cabinets, deep drawers and cabinetry around the appliances make use of the available wall space while keeping everything visually consistent.
White Oak Kitchen Island
The white oak island creates a natural focal point against the white perimeter cabinetry.
We kept the same slim shaker detailing on the island, letting the wood grain provide the contrast instead of introducing another cabinet style.
Custom Range Hood
The custom hood gives the range wall its own focal point while staying consistent with the rest of the cabinetry.
Its simple shape works especially well with the slim shaker doors and light backsplash.
Countertops and Backsplash
Light countertops continue around the kitchen and across the white oak island.
The backsplash stays within the same soft palette, adding texture without competing with the cabinetry, hood or brass details.
Custom Storage Details
Storage was worked into the kitchen wherever the layout allowed it, including tall cabinets, wide drawers and cabinetry surrounding the refrigerator and other appliances.
